A WEEKEND IN UTAH
Hi friends! Happy Monday & Happy Leap Year!! Are you doing anything fun to celebrate this special day that only happens once every four years?! I read today that there was an old Irish nun who said it was acceptable on February 29 for women to prose to their boyfriends… Do any of you know a lady who took advantage of this?!
Enough Leap Year talk… How was your weekend?! Ours was great!
Friday night we both rushed from work to meet at JFK to hop on a flight to Salt Lake City. We got lucky and scored seats next to each other so we got to have a movie night on the plane. Sal had picked this book up last spring at an airport and had liked it so much when he left it at home bought a second copy he ended up giving to my grandpa. So, when we saw The Martian as an option on the plane we picked it!
We headed up into the breathtaking Wasatch Range to ski at Snowbasin Saturday. We got lucky with sunny, warm spring conditions and enjoyed exploring the entire mountain. I had gone to Snowbasin years ago with my parents and had gone on and on to Sal about how beautiful their lodges were. I was happy as soon as we walked into the Earl Base Lodge to see that it wasn’t just my nostalgic teenage mind that had dreamnt the lodges so gorgeous! If you ever find yourself in Utah with yours skis or snowboard drive the extra distance and treat yourself to a day at Snowbasin!
Sunday we spent the day traveling back to NYC and getting ready for week. I snuck in a few minutes of the Oscars while waiting for our luggage at baggage claim.
How was your weekend?!
Have a great week!
