5 “Must Pack” Items For A Tropical Weekend
Happy Friday friends! We’ve made it to the end of another week!! Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? For spring break?? Sal and I took a mini spring break trip a few weekends ago to Costa Rica for a friends wedding!! Aren’t destination weddings the best!? An excuse to travel to another new country to help get me closer to my 30 by 30 goal is about the best type of wedding I can think of!
As I started to brainstorm my packing list for that weekend I realized… I hadn’t seen summer clothes since our honeymoon! So, below I’m sharing my 5 “must pack” items for a tropical weekend getaway!
You can’t head to a tropical place without sunscreen! Even if you’re only packing a carry on, with these travel size sunscreens you can toss a few in and never come back from a tropical weekend looking like a lobster again!
2. Floppy Hat
I bought a hat like this one about a year ago before heading to Thailand and only spent about $20 on it incase it was too annoying to pack I wouldn’t feel guilty about leaving it behind. This has turned out to be the best purchase I made last year! Get one of these hat & never let your face or shoulders burn again! Anyways, we all know burnt faces = wrinkles
Don’t forget your sunglasses!! My husband and I traveled together a lot before getting married and he forgot his sunglasses more than once, he’d then buy a cheap and goofy looking pair that are still haunting me in our vacation photos. I got him a pair of these frogskins for Christmas and decided I liked them so much I bought myself a pair too! They’re not crazy expensive so if they do fly off your face during a boat ride you won’t spend the rest of your vacation crying over them.
4. Beach Towel
If you have room left in your bag – throw in a beach towel. Depending where you’re staying your hotel might not want you taking their pool towels out to the sand and they’re never as nice as you’re favorite beach towel from home.
If you’re anything like us you’ll want to walk all around the island or cute beach town you’re visiting – make sure to pack some comfy sandals that you’re feet will be happy in for hours of exploring!
What items are on your “must pack” list?!
Have a great weekend!
