A WHITE WEEKEND
Hi friends! Good morning and happy Monday! So how much snow did you get this weekend?! We got TONS! I won’t bore you with a million more snow pictures since I’m sure you’ve seen plenty… Well maybe I’ll share one or two but before the snow started falling Friday we had a regular Friday night/ date night!
Metropolitan Museum of Art
My parents gave us a membership to The Met for Christmas and we hadn’t had a chance to go so Friday we rode the bus across town and spent a few hours walking through the museum. I LOVE The Costume Institute room at The Met so getting to see the Jacqueline De Ribes exhibit was a treat. After the Museum we had dinner at Coppola’s West which we had been dying to try… their meatballs were the biggest I’ve ever seen and the people who work there are SO friendly.
Lunch at Vezzo
The snow started falling in NYC early Saturday morning and by around lunchtime I knew if I didn’t get out of the apartment then I might not get out all weekend. I was lucky to get to meet the two ladies who started the Out of Office NY Network and have lunch with them and another blogger gal from the network who started Used York City at Vezzo. We had their mushroom pizza and it was SO good I think I might have to go back later this week for more!
The benefit of being snowed in most of the weekend was all the time it gave me to cut a bunch of fabric I had picked up at one of my favorite fabric stores, Pins and Needles. I can’t wait to start sewing these pieces together to make Camille’s Roskelley’s Swoon Quilt!
I hope everyone has a great week!!
